BRITAIN & IRELAND'S NEXT TOP MODEL MINI REUNION - LONDON

My friend, Rissikat, made a Vlog of our London day out for her youtube channel.

She does so many other cool videos of natural hair tutorials and Vlogs about her life, modelling between Ibiza and London.

We met on Britain & Irelands Next Top Model Cycle 8 and she has been one of my closest friends since then. Emma and Kelly also make appearances.

Check it out below!

SARDINIA, PART II

I left my flat in London at around 8:30 am, arrived at Olbia Airport by midday and by 2 pm I was on a tender speeding from the Porto Cervo marina to a super yacht anchored off the coast.

Sometimes in life things line up so beautifully you all you can do is laugh and watch it unfold.

The steward helped us from the tender on to the deck and up the stairs we went -instantly greeted by a glass of champagne and a spread of snacks. Looking at the glasses, and the spread of food I realised this yacht was one of our clients! It had been a tricky job, just 2 weeks before our first proposal was turned down and after so many adjustments and changes they eventually chose the products we were using!

It's so crazy to go from seeing them on your computer screen and wrapped in bubble wrap to being on the receiving end living "dat good good life".

The best part was it was girls only. We had the entire yacht to ourselves and unlimited champagne and then... tequila shots. You wouldn't believe most of us only just met that day or the night before, it was like partying with old friends.

The girls said the crew had taken them fishing the day before and they caught a tuna that the chef had prepared for our lunch.

We had the tuna curried some sorta way and a cous-cous salad with a magnificent white wine on the deck. Dreamy.

Then back at it again at Phi Beach.

DJ Solomun was playing that night, I'm not a house fan, but the blend of setting sun and savoury suds made the music sounds just so sweet.

Day one done.

BARCELONA - A SUNNY DUET

If you haven't watched the movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona I advise you stop reading, find a good streaming site and do so now.

Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Woody Allen are one hell of a combination. The sound track is really good too. The way this film presents the city is so inviting - balmy nights, red wine and Spanish guitar in court yards covered by vines and fairy lights.

At the beginning of summer, my man and I were trying to decide where to go for a city break and after watching this film for the 100th time we decided it's time to take our asses to Barca (please see previous post for pie chart)

Like most Mediterranean cities the buildings and streets still have an old world glamour that has deteriorated over centuries. The buildings that remain have seen the rise and fall of empires and dictators, and have been through the evolution of the country from fascism to the European Union to Brexit (yuck).

We were only there for 2 or 3 days and I wasn't feeling the OTT vibes of the W hotel and CDLC and all that bullshit.

We just slept till late, explored the city in the sunshine all day, watched the entire season 1 of Stranger Things and ate and drank nuff. Perfect.

Among the crumbling beauty are the tell-tale signs of modern life. Graffiti of a poke-ball in a play ground, flashing signs for night clubs and pharmacies. The usual stuff.

It wouldn't have been a trip to Spain without plenty of Paella. So tasty! The Spanish serve this dish in a platter or in the pan it was cooked in. Sometimes still sizzling. You drizzle the lemon all over the rice and chicken.

My favourite Aperol Spritz with tapas on the beach.
